I'm sure this would be a fine adapter for a standard drive bay, but I wanted to see if I could use it to mount a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" hot-swap drive carrier for a 12-disk SATA RAID system. It DOES NOT WORK in those carriers. Try ICYDOCK drive adapters instead (2.5" To 3.5" Ssd/sata Convert)- they work great! In fact, they also work in regular drive bays, so I would probably recommend them over these. With their system, no screws are needed to attach the 2.5" drive into the adapter.
